Bigger and Mr. Chuck Work "Together For Children"

United Way of the Mid-South held a parenting
seminar entitled "Together For Children" at South
Park Elementary School in Memphis, TN. The seminar was part
of an ongoing Success by Six program designed to encourage
parents to take an active role in the education of their children
by spending one-on-one time with them each day, being a good
role model and staying involved in their education. The event
was hosted by Chuck Scruggs of the emmy nominated children's
show "Hello Mr. Chuck" which is produced out of
WKNO Memphis and syndicated across Tennessee on PBS. |

Bigger and Mr. Chuck collaborated on the theme song, "Together
For Children" which was performed for the first time
by the talented choir at South Park Elementary School. The
children gave a great performance and it was a very exciting
time for everyone involved.
School
children thoughout Tennessee learned the song "Together
For Children" to promote the program in communities across
the mid-south.
While
in Memphis, Stephen also got the opportunity to read to classes
in the Head Start program at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Educational
Center. |
